April 2026 Paper Pumpkin Lakeside Retreat is a nature-inspired card-making kit designed primarily for masculine occasions like Father’s Day and birthdays. It features serene waterside imagery and an earthy color palette, allowing you to create nine handmade cards. When I started looking at this amazing kit, the ideas just kept coming, one right after another. I made the 3 original designed cards and then got started on making alternatives with all of the kit contents. I accidentally received 2 kits so I had plenty of ephemera and card bases and envelopes to play with. This masculine card kit had perfect card bases and ephemera that worked well with the fun fold templates.
I have listed all of the measurements to make the fun fold cards in the downloadable PDF below. If you want additional information, be sure to check out my youtube video below. Be sure to comment and let me know which card is your favorite.
I have included the basic supplies below that I used, however the new products coming in the May 5 Catalog are not able to be linked until the catalog goes live on May 5. The Waterside Retreat Suite Collection is a fantastic collection of products and coordinates well with this Lakeside Retreat kit. Be sure to check it out on May 5. Thanks for looking.
I started this fun fold bridge card with Petal Pink cardstock as the foundation. The soft blush tone instantly sets a romantic, feminine mood, and it pairs beautifully with the botanical artwork in the suite. The fold itself is simple but interactive—just enough movement to make the card feel special without being complicated.
To add texture, I embossed the front bridge panel using the Lazy Daisy 3D embossing folder. The raised floral pattern gives the card a soft, quilted look that complements the suite’s delicate illustrations.
The star of this project is the Lovely & Beautiful Suite Collection. I chose a mix of designer paper and stamped images to decorate each section of the fold. The floral artwork is detailed but airy, so it doesn’t overwhelm the soft color palette.
A few of the Beautifully Adorned Ephemera pieces were perfect for adding quick, elegant layers—especially the botanical accents. They layer beautifully to give the card a polished, dimensional look without extra effort.
If you like my fun bridge fold card creation, download the free project sheet below. Please check out my youtube video below, which shows how I created this fun fold card from start to finish along with several of the alternatives. Please leave a comment telling me which card is YOUR favorite!!
Soft petal pink tones and secret sea create a cozy, elegant backdrop while the Lovely Arrangements dies bring all the charm front and center. A delicate lattice die cut frames the design like a trellis, layered over bold florals and leafy prints for depth and texture. The stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies and ridged frame draw your eye to the heartfelt sentiment, “Another Wonderful Year”, making it the perfect focal point for your birthday or anniversary card or any celebration worth toasting! A few layered leaves and glossy embellishments from the Moody Pallet Glossy Dots add just the right touch of dimension and polish, like tiny drops of morning dew. The result is a beautifully balanced card that feels fresh, sophisticated, and handmade with love, perfect for celebrating. Â
This designer series paper featured in this card includes 3 pages of the same design with a total of 12 sheets in the entire package. The front sides usually have a selection of floral designs in pleasing colors and the back side has a neutral pattern in a coordinating color. All of the beautiful Stampin’ Up! color array is listed on the back of the package. This particular package includes Crumb Cake, Cloud Cover, Old Olive, Petal Pink, and Secret Sea. These colors blend and coordinate beautifully together resulting in a pleasing color palette.
This card design was created for a swap that I was involved in and I thought I’d share that with all of you crafty friends. My card base on this card starts out with Petal Pink in the portrait design. The right side Secret Sea panel does not lift. It is adhered to the base of the card. The left panel is decorated with one of my very favorite sheets of the designer paper – Petal Pink and Secret Sea!! That panel also includes the unique trellis dots focal point which is a die included in the Lovely Arrangements Stamp and Die Bundle.
This picture shows how the left panel lifts and the right panel is adhered to the card base.
I pulled in a couple dies from my favorite go to die sets Spotlight On Natureand Stylish Shapes. Both of these die sets are staples in my craft room because of the nesting abilities. Â
Don’t be afraid to use your favorite stamps and dies when you find a favorite cardstock or designer paper that you like. I was looking for particular stamps for this card and pulled in another of my favorite stamp sets: Reason to Celebrate as I wanted to be able to use this card for both anniversary and birthday but it doesn’t say birthday so I can use it for any event you want to celebrate since I chose “Another wonderful year” and “CELEBRATE” for the inside greeting! How perfect was that combination?!!

Do you love to create handmade Christmas cards and tags?  With the Christmas Tags & More 6″ x 6″ Mix & Match Specialty Designer Series Paper pack, you can create all the tags and cards you desire quickly and easily. This wonderful assortment of paper and punch-out images makes it easy to coordinate colors and images on your Christmas cards and gift tags. It includes full-sheet designs, punch-out designs for card fronts and tags, and cut-apart images for quick accents.
The designs came together quickly and effortlessly.  This bundle of products has been hard to keep in stock on my store site.  However, if it is out of stock you can enter your email address and the store will notify you as soon as it is back in stock.
I also created some fun Hershey Nugget Treat Boxes using this same designer paper pack. Do you have children in school? These make great teacher treats! Or you can make them up to share with your classmates!! I mean, who doesn’t love chocolate? Is that even a thing?  They also make great little treats to treat your favorite hairdresser and nail technician. I’m sure the little treat boxes would also make your coworkers smile to find a little treat box with chocolate (or other small candies) on their desk!
Here is the project sheet with measurements to make the cards and treat boxes. I did not make instructions for 6 of the cards, but did make a new design on my YouTube video. They are very easy to put together.
As summer starts to leave us, I wanted to hold on just a little longer. The Charming Day Suite and Floral Charm Designer Series Paper, from the Stampin’ Up online exclusives products, embody that summer charm. This handmade card leaves you with a little feeling of summer. The beautiful colors and elegant summer flowers bring that summer feel to life.
I love making cards that have a surprise element to them. This fun fold pocket slider card packs a wow when the ribbon pull is used to show the inside surprise panel. I have fallen in love with the gorgeous Stampin’ Up Create Sunflowers Stamp and Sunflowers Dies bundle; how about you?  Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle Product List
It is also part of a suite entitled Flowers for Every Season, which includes a ton of products including designer series paper (DSP), embossing folder, multiple stamp sets, dies, punch, and bling shown here:Â Flowers for Every Season Suite
The card shown above was made using the Create Sunflowers Stamp Set, the Sunflowers Dies, and a technique called direct-to-rubber coloring. I’ve used some of the new 20-22 In-colors – Cinnamon Cider, Bumblebee, and Just Jade. What is your favorite new color? I love the Misty Moonlight and Magenta Madness.
Direct to Rubber Technique
When using the direct-to-rubber coloring technique, I could use Stampin’ Write markers or Classic Stampin’ Ink Pads (or ink refills) and a sponge or sponge dauber to color/daub/blend ink onto the red rubber stamp before I stamp on the card stock. I’ve used this technique many times when I wanted to stamp a multi colored image. It is especially helpful when I am highlighting or coloring certain words on a greeting stamp.
I started out by inking the sunflower entirely with bumblebee ink and then I daubed the early espresso and calypso coral inks directly on the red rubber stamp around the center of the sunflower. I re-moistened the ink by huffing (applied my moist breath) on the inked stamp. The ink can start to dry with the time it takes to apply all of the colors and breathing on the stamp moistens the ink.   To blend the colors, I used a blender pen and blended the bumblebee petals and then blended the calypso coral and early espresso inks. I saw Patty Bennet demo the sunflower and fell in love with that look.
Finally, I folded the card using the “hinge fun fold”. The cards can open bottom to top or from the side.
TIP: Always check to see if your DSP is directional or has a pattern that needs to be cut a certain way. Sometimes the DSP has no discernible direction and it won’t matter which way it is cut.

I love summer and the beautiful sunflowers are the epitome of summer. They stand so stately and majestic and who doesn’t love sunflower seeds!!
I decided to change up the color scheme for this sunflower card to a beautiful cool crisp Night of Navy and White. I love how the white sunflower pops off the navy background.
This fun fold card center navy panel flips up and provides another area to stamp a greeting or to write a personal message to your recipient.
TIP: Always check to see if your designer series paper (DSP) is directional or has a pattern that needs to be cut a certain way. Sometimes the DSP has no discernible direction and it won’t matter which way it is cut.

Don’t you just love this Fun Fold Spooktacular Box for the Spooktacular Bash card set? It made up so cute using the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper along with both the Spooktacular Bash and Wonderfully Wicked Stamp sets!Â
In addition, the cute little spider die out of the Wicked Die Set was used to add a few spooky fun spiders. They were coated with the new product from the 2019 Holiday Catalog called Shimmery Crystal Effects which as a result made them sparkle and shine to catch the eye. The spooktacular greeting from the Spooktacular Bash Stamp Set was framed with a die in the Ornate Frames Dies.Â
To add a little more color and a whimsical look to the box, I grabbed the Gorgeous Grape striped ribbon from the 2019-20 Annual Catalog.Â

If you would like to make this Fun Fold Spooktacular Box for the Halloween Spooktacular Bash card set, I’d love to help you find the products to make it.Â
This is the last of the four card Halloween set. The card is a fun fold card in that the very vanilla cardstock layer is the actual card that opens bottom to top. Wickedly fun!! Before to check out the previous three Halloween cards in this set. Enjoy!
One of four card set I designed as a set to be given as a teacher gift. This fun fold card puts the “spook” in Spooktacular!!! Be sure to check out the other three cards in the set!
